Sophie Oldacres
Teal corner seating gives Sophie Oldacres’s dining area a vivid focal point. Deep buttoned backs and a continuous seat wrap around a timber table in a light, open interior.
Project overview
Setting: A home dining corner.
Seating: An L-shaped teal banquette around a timber table.
Details to look for: Diamond-buttoned backrests, a plain continuous seat and a light timber base.
The seating follows two walls to define the dining area within the wider room. Its strong teal colour makes the corner a focal point, while the timber base relates to the table and flooring and the plain seat balances the detailed backrests.

The finished space
The diamond buttoning continues along both backrests, giving the seating texture and a consistent rhythm. A plain seat surface provides a calmer line beneath the detailed back, with the timber plinth forming a neat edge at floor level.
The finished arrangement makes the dining area feel clearly defined within the wider room. It is a compact corner with a bold colour and a generous sense of welcome.
